Why we made Lisa

My parents had a shelf of photo books. Birthdays, holidays, first days of school. When we visited, someone would pull one down, and we'd sit together and turn the pages. Nobody was in a hurry.

Then my daughter Lisa was born. I took hundreds of photos of her in the first weeks. They lived on my phone, scattered across chats and folders. The easy places to share them were public apps, built to keep people scrolling and to learn as much about them as possible.

That didn't feel right for her. Her baby photos aren't something to show off. They belong to her, and to the people who love her.

So I started making a private album. You make an album, send one link to the people who were there, and they're in. Grandma, a best friend, the whole team. Nothing to install, no strangers, nothing pulling you back for one more look.

I named it after Lisa, because she's the reason it exists. One day I hope she'll open it and find her whole childhood there, kept safe.

We made three promises, and we mean to keep them. We'll never make it addictive. We'll never sell your data. And you'll vote on the big decisions, because this place is yours as much as ours.

Your photos are kept in Europe, in Frankfurt, Germany. There are no ads, ever, and you can download everything at any time.
